Challenge update - 9/6/2008
The Gamerscore Challenge titled GameStrata Challenge 8 has come to a close, and a special congratulations goes out to the big winner, Fitroi78 . I would hate to be the person who finished second! A total gain of 3,302 points was enough for victory.
All 13 participants combined on the final day, they put up a total gain of 571 points. jaferris added 300, Fitroi78 added 76, Razmig00 added 70, ZoidbergPHD126 added 50, A White Nite added 25, DARKSIDE1978 added 20, NCDarthVader added 20, and Daewar added 10. There can be only one first place... but thanks goes out to the other 12 for being good rivals.

Fresh off the internets: Fitroi78 swung the whooping stick and took the lead by gaining 135 points. All 13 participants combined, they put up a total gain of 635 points. NCDarthVader added 220, Fitroi78 added 135, Excalibur XL added 125, ZoidbergPHD126 added 100, DARKSIDE1978 added 30, jaferris added 20, and A White Nite added 5. So for the record... Great googly moogly!!! NCDarthVader's is a machine eh? Watch your back people!

After a long day of gaming yesterday, here's where we ended up: Fitroi78 made it happen and is now in first place by feeding on enough achievements for 341 points. Overall, the 13 total challengers put up a total of 901 points, so at least people are competing! Fitroi78 added 341, Daewar added 150, NCDarthVader added 100, ZoidbergPHD126 added 90, Razmig00 added 90, DARKSIDE1978 added 65, Excalibur XL added 60, and jaferris added 5. Just remember, 2 days might sound like a lot of time, but it really isn't. Ready your breakfasts and eat hearty...for tonight, we dine on achievement points!

Yesterday saw some furious gamerscore action. Here's the recap. It looks like A White Nite snatched away the lead from Fitroi78 by earning 105 points. Overall, the 13 total challengers put up a total of 1280 points, so at least people are competing! ZoidbergPHD126 added 375, DARKSIDE1978 added 240, Razmig00 added 130, Daewar added 110, A White Nite added 105, Excalibur XL added 105, NCDarthVader added 85, BX To The B added 70, weezerzeke added 40, and jaferris added 20. So yeah... ZoidbergPHD126's gamerscore jumped quite a bit eh? People better start looking over their shoulders.

So in the 'Biggest gain' category, DARKSIDE1978 is obviously the winner... I would be looking over your shoulder if I was Fitroi78...

A White Nite added 215, DARKSIDE1978 added 70, ZoidbergPHD126 added 70, NCDarthVader added 40, jaferris added 20, and Darth Sethster added 10. So yeah... A White Nite's gamerscore jumped quite a bit eh? People better start looking over their shoulders.

If I were you, I would keep my eye on jaferris... Today's gain is only a hint of what is possible.

The obvious superstar from yesterday is weezerzeke. With that big of a gain, who knows what could happen next.

And they are off! Place your bets! The field is set and the challengers are ready. jaferris' Gamerscore Challenge called GameStrata Challenge 8 is underway. Which titles are people going to use first? The hard ones with big points? The easy ones with small points? Who is the favorite? Who is the underdog? Who is going to win? In 21 days we will know!
I have gotten more achievements, but have been without internet for a few days and will be until next week.
Well I jumped ahead of Mary Poppins so I'm happy haha jk nubber. Either way I didn't get as much accomplished in Mercs 2. Greast game for achieves tho for future reference. I Got my first 50 JUST from joining a friends game which is how I started :)
I don't think I'll pull off 1000 points in a day and a half (Not without Avatar, and I said I wouldn't do that). So looks like I'll stay at 3, unless Quin gets his XBL back, then he might take from me. I still gotta few achieves left on Mercs 2 that I'll knock out tonight.

yea, it also didnt hurt that i worked for Gamestop as a manager for 2 years... so unlimited rentals of new games, and a lot of free games are given to managers. So yea, It was easy to play so many games.

Yea... I totally understand that. I just play EVERY game out, for the most part anyways. I love games, but I do try and squeeze as much GS as I can. And thats thanks to this site... haha
It's all about enjoying the gaming, Nite. I just join the challenges and play games I would be playing anyway, at the same frequency as I would be playing. If I get some GamerScore and advance in the challenge, then that is just a bonus.
Man, I have really wanted to bust out some games, but I got too human and I am really enjoying it, so the games i do have for this challenge are being put on hold for the time being... haha
