The Gamerscore Challenge titled Win NaiLSONS' Games #14!!! has come to a close, and Bomber37 pulled it out... snatching the win away from drunkdaddy69 at the last moment with a final tally of 3,940 points in 5 days!
On the final day, the 24 challengers put up a total of 3627 points. Bomber37 added 1,235, SparkyMP added 630, drunkdaddy69 added 547, NaiLSONS added 285, gotwald added 215, Sarah77 added 185, AE 20 Diamonds added 175, VoteForPedro999 added 145, domejohnny added 115, jds78 added 40, EdibleChunk added 20, joshnorm added 20, and Col Hartman added 15. I'm so glad I finally won! Thanks for another awesome challenge NaiLSONS. That was a great effort by drunkdaddy in his first challenge back. I'm sorry that I had to play a cheap game to get the win.
This is probably the last challenge where I will be able to put up a fight since I go back to school on Tuesday. Hopefully I won't have much work to do by the time the CoC comes around, but that's unlikely. I will still try my hardest though. I hope to see everyone again in the next challenge!
Cantseemefools will be returning (in full effect Hopefully) in the next challenge...be warned.

Madden 08 is allowed throughout the entire challenge. The only madden restriction is madden 06. I dont want to offend you with this next part but it needs to be said. i have witnessed you playing ncaa football 07 and now college hoops 2K6. Both of which are not allowed at this time in the challenge. You have played fair up until now. The rules are posted at the bottom of the comment section of this challenge.

Except the very first single player game because the min & max bet are both 15, so it won't work, but it will work in tournament # 1.
Just like the instructions say. When you press A to bet (make sure its minimum) the press and hold LB. It will max out the bet and then all you have to do is make sure you cash out with anything over 8. You will always profit over 8. Doesn't matter which game you do this in, it always works.
can someone help me I don't get when you bet or hit LB, is it off the 1st one 15 minimum bets?

Yeah that sure would. At least you gained a bunch of challenge score last week. No win but still a good second place finish.
Well a bunch of my challenges were hosting for the BFC, so I wasn't playing in them and didn't score any points really, so that wasted a good deal of time in being able to earn my own points.
i always push for a spot where i can get challenge points. Kind of like what I am doing right now. I am close enough to reach out and grab it, so I will.

that is pretty sad dome. I have gained half those points in my 21 challenges but i have 649 challenge points. How many have you won? I won 6 so thats why I have a so many points.

wits and wagers all u have to do is play the game to get ach. u dont even have to get the right answer.
TMNT: get a few people that know how to play and its easy. im not good enough by myself. but w/ someone else that also can play its easy.
i can help w/ coop in gyruss but for the 50 wins COL and sparky u guys can get together and boost it.
MSR all u have to do is oick ur highest belt u have start at level 1 play to lv 19 or 20 w/o dieing u'll get ach.
start over on ur new belt. repeat untill u get blackbelt.
again gauntlet is an average b/w all players.
fable is easy but time consuming. for BIG SPINNER ach. use cow and corset its 2nd to last game. took only a few min. on that 1.
there is a glitch for fortunes tower where u bet min. amount then quickly hit LB. it will max out ur bet but only subtract the min. just keep repeating and ull be rich in no time.
I would like to get all the co-op TMNT 1989 Arcade Achievements if anyone can help. I know dome and I both need to get the Ultimate Power achievement.

yup we all want to know that question. Why is the scoring so off and not a cumulative score between all 4 of us?

scramble will take 2 min easy. gyruss takes almost an hour to boost 50 wins.
yes u can shoot the whole time. if u have a multiplier makes it A LOT faster. ive got over 100k in one level w/ a x4 muti.
100k IS AN AVERAGE FOR ALL PLAYERS. If someone has 75k the other has to get 125k for ach. this is why its easier for 2 to get than 4.
Oh and I guess I should ask the obvious question I know these guys will wanna know - does the overall MP score differ from regular score because at one point one of us had almost 90,000 on their own but it said we had a MP cumulative score of something like 28000..that is why we were so confused because we'd sit there and our cumulative score wasn't really doing much.
@sparky - we were waiting on some levels, 3 minutes without moving until everything turned to exits, then we spent the rest of it shooting....could we have been shooting for the first 3 minutes as well, assuming we weren't being hit by anything?

Yeah you just stand in one spot and constantly shoot the endless supply of enemies. There are certain levels that are better for this of course, and you have to make sure that you are not getting hit. You dont have to exit the level when the walls turn into exits. If you are in good positions then just stay there for a while and keep building your score.

I would like some help in some of these arcade games. Gyruss and scramble have multiplayer achievements that I could use some help with. There are some others giving me problems as well.

goes up fast- mygamercard has me ranked higher b/c ITS TOO SLOW! its like a week behind me. it was 1000s of rank off. but its catching up. it says 50-60 somethin right now.
i am currently rank 33 in world arcade leaderboaed. only took 1.5 months i can get anyone more ach on the games they own AND give advice/suggestions for any games ur interested in. i just gave advice to nailsons. can help anyone, BUT only serious inquiries. HATE IT WHEN PEEPS ASK BUT DONT TRY!!

That's fine...so basically that standing still for 3 minutes and then everything becomes exits still works if you shoot for the first three minutes, just don't move...am I understanding that correctly??

Does anyone have any good suggestions for arcade games that I dont already own. I would prefer something I could get all 200 in quite easily. I'm looking to expand my arcade completions.

well you could always do it with just 2 of you. solves any lagging or disconnecting issues really.
I think the biggest issue we had with Gauntlet and the 100k was that we were at about 50-60k and one of us disconnected, then another...then with Col Hartman & myself remaining, the game just decided to end even though we hadn't died.
Sorry I was sleeping most of the day, then I got busy. I have about 55 arcade games plus 3200 points sitting here so I am up for some good arcade games.
The easiest way to get 100K in gauntlet is to just find a spot in a corner where you can shoot an endless amount of enemies (there are hundreds of these spots. Then you just sit there for a few minutes and then end the level when the walls turn into exits. You should be able to reach 100K after about 5 levels. Or you can just sit there on one of the levels for a long time and get it that way.
undertow sucks. sorry but I refuse to ever do it on ultra again.
i hope you have some more GS there gotwald. I will be pushing for the 3rd spot tonight and tomorrow. I could use some more challenge score. As well as hitting 40K.

Sparky do you have aguide for Pub games, I may buy it but only if I can guarantee myself 200 points. I have way too many games that are no were near completion and it's starting to tick me off.
Name the arcarde game anyone needs help in and I can probably buy it to boost with you. I just bought a 1600 point card for castle crashers but probably wont buy it at 1200 points. IMO no XBLA game should be more than 800 points. What happened to all the good 400 point games like Geo Wars1?
I don't really want to play Gauntlet today, but I might be up for it tomorrow. Or if Sparky wanted to play with you guys sometime, he got the achievement more recently and might have some tips for the 100k. I can't remember at all how I got it. I'm surprised I did get it because it seemed pretty hard to get last Sunday.
Yeah its not too bad. Fairly simple 200 points. A lot of it is luck/chance which is no fun. I actually just got the last achievement (for points). I have completed 2 arcade games so far today. I dont get credit for pub games which sucks but when fable 2 comes out i can guarantee that completion. Now lets see if I can complete another one before the day is done. I could use some help if anyone is up for it lol.

Whoohoo!! I finally got a stupid jackpot in keystone...only took 3 hours of trying. now only one more achievement to go. Now I need to hit a stupid jackpot in spinnerbox. I thought they were going to make pub games have easy achievements lol.
Yeah its pretty crappy and really cheap. Just buy some more servers and expand your broadband. They make billions of dollars off us and then they close the servers 1 year later. Its pretty crappy....too bad boycotts never work. Or else I would be out there with a sign telling everyone to boycott frickin' EA. Then maybe NFL and all these other groups would chose someone else.
EA is the devil....especially pulling their damn servers offline on some of the older games just annoys the hell out of me.
That sounds like what my ncaa 07 has been doing. About time to wipe it off my system and do it all over. It sucks. Stupid EA for getting the rights to all these games.
btw I was playing MLB 2k7 Nailson and I know its the end of the 3rd day but I didnt unlock anything anyways.
I was editing the rosters and all of a sudden I could not save them. I hit for the cycle and got the double steal but nothing unlocked so I think my profile got corrupt! anyways it was close to 12am so I just quit playing.....3 hours wasted on MLB 2K7 and no achievements! I hate this game now!

my story is complicated, but i have done nothing wrong. BRIAN from MS corporate office and I had a long chat after 50+ phone calls to support. apparently i'm the FIRST CASE IN THE WORLD to have what happened to me. so we settled for 17mos gold acct and 55000 MS points. i know weird #s. but better than a smack in the face. thats how i've been buying arcades. but i got 15000+ arcade only GS. i went from 1.5 million to #39 rank world leaderboard arcade IN ONLY 1.5 MONTHS!!! even I am impressed with that. this is my first attempt to play some retail. when i lost my acct. i was confident i would get it back(i did nothing wrong) BUT I WAS WRONG! MS made me start all over again! Silly me, i was so mad when my acct got jacked that i sold 30-40 games for whiskey. got drunk n contemplated my acct jackers death. lucky for him he is over 2000 miles away. but there is a fund to raise cash for my trip up there- lol
Everyone i have gained the collecting 15 silver rewards around 1:00 am or so.

@Col - XMen and Eragon are both miserable POS games, but easy for the most part if you can stand them...I've had XMen sitting on the floor next to my XBox for months now, I just can't stand it. Well, I can't stand Iceman (or whoever the hell it is).
As for drunk - he kicks ass and can put up some massive points if he wants to...his gamerscore was way up there but someone got a hold of his account and he got screwed and had to start fresh, otherwise I'm sure he'd be well over 100k at this point. I actually feel bad for everyone in the challenge of champions if he makes it, LOL.

Hello from my new college dorm room folks. This challenge is probably not for me due to so much frisbee and soccer going on, but i iwll definitly be playing hard in the one coming up.

just a heads up, my internet was down during my lunch hour (went home to get my game on), i did gain some achievements, but it was for only Fable 2 Pub Games, so it was less than 100 points, i think it was like 40 or so, but i just wanted to let everybody know whats up and didnt want anybody to think i was cheating

@unjust - yep, that demo was awesome, but too short, leaving me wanting so much more, but I guess that's good marketing because I went and ordered it afterwards.
did anybody play Star Wars The Force Unleashed demo!!!! Its uber uber leet!!! I am probably going to lose this challenge...just got a PS3 with Metal Gear 4 so alot of my gaming time has gone into that :(
Well I would have gained some more points but it seems that my ncaa football 07 refuses to give me more achievements. Looks like I am going to have to erase everything for that game and start over.

I was looking at Fshguy's calendar and I lost the fighting badge, but I didn't even realize I ever had it, so it shows how much I pay attention.
I just noticed I lost my shmup badge by 50 points. I have 200 on 3 games, 160, and only 30 on geo wars. I wish that geometry wars wasn't so dumb. I don't even like playing it because I'm so bad. I might have to buy another game to reclaim my lost badge because there's no way I'm going to be able to gain another point in geo wars.

@Bootleg: I enjoyed it. Honestly the first go around I didn't like the demo at all. Once I played it a few more times I was sold. Also, TRU has the game at $49.99 so it made it alot easier for me to buy. I haven't played it yet but plan on after I finish some school work.

Watch out i have 4 achievements left in bully and i have bioshock:P And also tomb raider which that and bully are very close to there max of gamerscore:) I really enjoy these challenges Nailsons hope you keep doing them especially around Christmas but then again i am going to SC this year.

Yeah I kind of figured it was common since it happened so easily. I got all 1000 points in about 6 hours. Probably the fastest football game I have played. I actually liked ncaa 08 better than this version. I would like to win this challenge so I might as well start off right. I still have two more football games to finish today and tomorrow.
@Sparky - that isn't all that uncommon for Madden 08', so I wouldn't worry about it, plus everyone knows you in here so I don't think it would ever even be mentioned.

@jds - actually since I hit 100k, I'm going to focus more on stuff I've wanted to play for a while but didn't, so I don't think my score should be a factor this week. I'll probably play Mass Effect as it's been on my shelf for a very long time and I've wanted to play it for so long but never did.

Okay I need to explain this before I get called out on this. I just simmed one game in madden 08 and got 21 achievements. I didn't gamesave, just one simulation. I didn't expect that many achievements to pop. Especially without me even pumping up my team lol. Just thought I would explain that one.
There's something I forgot to mention. It's good to see drunkdaddy back in action after a short hiatus. I also wanted everyone to be aware of how skilled a challenge competitor he is. Matter of fact, I don't think he's lost a challenge to anyone since.... who was it that beat you last drunkdady? ;) Anyway, he very well may have won that huge 30 day challenge with over 200 gamers, if it wasn't for issues beyond his control affecting his account. So when he comes in here and beats everyone by 2K points, don't say I didn't warn you!

4) The following list of games are only allowed on a restricted basis. Each gamer is allowed to play 2 of the following games. One must be played on the first day of the challenge and the other can be played any of the first three days of the challenge.

5) All gamers with a gamerscore less than 15,000 must be recommended by a trusted 360 Voice member. (I reserve the right to allow exceptions)
6) All gamers who have been a member of 360 Voice less than 45 days must be recommended by a trusted 360 Voice member. (I reserve the right to allow exceptions)
7) All 360 Voice challenge rules are also in effect.
8) In case of a tie, the competitor with the largest daily GS increase during the challenge will be declared the winner.
9) All gamertags labeled as a cheater by Microsoft are forbidden.
10) All forms of cheating(profile glitching, gamesaving, etc...) are prohibited. (Instances of suspected cheating will be investigated prior to disqualification)
11) Any winner from outside of the continental U.S. may be partially responsible for shipping.
12) I reserve the right to make changes or additions to these rules and guidelines at any time.
