Hold on tight! Here we go!! NaiLSONS has created a Gamerscore Challenge titled 'Win NaiLSONS' Games #15!!!'... and 23 gamers have joined up to throw down. I wonder where NaiLSONS found these people... maybe in a city called AWESOMEVILLE, population: 23... Who's got the most game in this group? We're going to find out.
Nailsons, you sir are a good man extremely fair. I will see you next challenge and in the CoC
What the hell? I don't know what happened last night, I wasn't around to check it out but since everyone says the site screwed up, I believe them. I don't like giving away 2 prizes because it cheapens it for the winner, but in this case I can't say for sure who that is. So each of you two will get a prize, I just hope you both don;t want the same thing, lol.

@a 360 Friend: I thought I was out honestly. I put up my last push playing Lost and I was playing up to 3:00 AM EST which is when the game is up. So my achievements will show 9/1 since the site is set to PST and I am on EST. I remember thinking I got a few points in at the last few seconds before the challenge ended but with the stupid non-skipable cut scenes I wasn't sure if they would have counted. It was a ton of fun though and I really enjoyed going down to the wire with you (even though my body today isn't feeling it). And I am also fine with seeing what Nailson wants to do.

Hopefully the economy picks up. It was sad reading about how unhappy everyone is about the economy. All I can say is just be glad you own a home. I live in California and have svereal family members (including my parents) that are going through forclosure. They are not bad people, the rates just jumped so high and the value dropped so much it did not make sense to keep paying such a high rate on an overpriced California home. I have a Masters Degree from USC (still have to pay my graduate loans back) but I currently can't afford to buy a home in California. They are just too expensive and my landlord knows this so he keeps raising the rent on my 2 bedroom apartment. Currently I am paying $1650/month and that doesn't include any utilities or parking. I may have to move in the next few months because the want to raise the rent to $1750/month.
I wish I could buy a home but I have bad credit and owe over $109,000.00 in college loans. The rate is at 6% so I am in no hurry to pay them off but my debt to income ratio is so low that very few banks will loan me money enough money to buy a home in CA. So I am stuck renting in a place were some of my neighbors have 2-3 families living in a 2 bedroom apartment. I live with my 2 kids but its a very noisy apt. building. At least its safe and my kids go to a decent school where there are no gang problems. I really hope our next President is a good one b/c I have lost all faith in our Governor ever doing what is right.
As I read the rules xChandmanx:
"One must be played on the first day of the challenge and the other can be played any of the first three days of the challenge."
So the 250 points I scored in NBA Live 06 should be okay since it was the 3rd day and only my 2nd game from the restricted list of games to play. (Fifa was played the 1st day and netted me another 150 points).
@domejohhny, Nailsons has already stated he would only let people win three times maximum. This was my third time winning.
Well at least I thought it was my 3rd time. When I saw Joshnorm throw in LOST at the last hour I freaked. I had to buy Mrs. Pac Man, Tetris, and Frogger Sunday night to put some more points up. I really am confused at what happened because after 12am PST It was already Monday 9-1-08 and I saw Joshnorm still playing LOST. If you look at his profile and his achievements it shows they were all unlocked on 9-1-08. I can confirm this b/c my PC was on and I had his profile on my screen till the last few minutes. So really his last three achievments (which total 80 points) should not be counted.
I stoppped playing at 12am PST b/c I saw I was in the lead and did the math. I was in front 35 points. I could have also kept playing but figured save them for another challenge since I won. I'm actually kinf ticked b/c I wanted the top challenge points too, but I'm not saying its anyones fault. Only 360voice screwed up yesterday!
Its confusing, 360 voice kind of let me down. Has this ever happened before or is this some freak occurence?
Either way I had fun, I was hoping to win Ridge Racer 6 so I can work on my Launch badge but I'll agree with whatever Nailson decides. Its his challenge and he always does what is right.
From reading Nailsons blog I understand he's had a bit of misfortune at home. My prayers are with you and your family Nailson.
I knew the scores were funky last night, they should have stopped updating, but they didn't...congrats to joshnorm as it shows you as the official winner. Congrats!
Also the scores seem a little weird...for instance, the live score doesn't seem to have stopped @ Midnight PST...it seems to have continued through the night unless my page just wasn't refreshing.
You can play those title through the third day. She (A 360 Friend) has already won twice anyhow, so I don't know how NaiLS is going to handle those that win multiple times in relation to the COC.
I won't post any results until we get clarification from NaiLSONS.
Actually Joshnorm should be the winner. I'm not sure if A 360 Friend did not read the rules but he scored 250 points on 8/29/08 from NBA Live 06 (Third Day). If you subtract the 250, That puts him in second place.
I'll update everything in my blog tomorrow for overall standings and COC.

Well, I never gave myself any type of chance today...I went to bed at 9am, which was not smart...then I got up for about half an hour during the day and went back to sleep until like 6pm...then spent the rest of it playing Prey, so I guess 4th, 5th or 6th it is...
Seriously 3 Sports titles? I am going to lose this one since I don't have a backlog of Sports titles. I guess I had a decent run this go around though. Thought I would have it.
Damn, i need to get some points on the board today. Running errands has made it hard. I believe that 360 Friend might be doing some off line gaming to keep what they can throw up a secret. I saw that Madden, NCAA and CARS were all in play today so there are some easy points esp since I have no idea what they might be putting up right now. Again just a guess since that happened to me before I a paranoid and need to put up some points ASAP
Alright I just got off work and I have tomorrow off so I might play some games tonight. Lets see if I can make it into 20th place. Right now I am kind of sitting with the challenge score boosters. Kind of sad really. I am amazed by how low the scores are this week. Too bad I had to work or I could have put up a good challenge.
@Nailsons: dont worry i wont. i got the cast off early, so its still soft bone, and i have to baby it. which the doc said includes no sports. but i can play my guitars, thats all that matters =D
Wow, that must have been a great phone call to the wife. Hey sweetheart bought the house. I am sure everything will work out for you though. Hopefully when they market steadies it will give you a few options to get out of a situation that you don't like.

Well, my own fault for buying out here when I did...prices were still good for what you getting...I love my house, well worth the price, but I hate the neighborhood & the city. I was on a waiting list for the building...they told me probably about 6-7 months. I flew out for one of their monthly releases just to out of curiousity to see what it was like. There was only one house up for the release I wanted....sure enough because it was a holiday week, no one showed..they went through a boatload of names and then I got called and I bought it...had to call my wife in NY and tell her I bought a house, LOL. Had it been 6-7 months later, I would have known I'd be screwed by the job opportunity I had and I probably wouldn't have moved or I would have at least rented...bad decisions on my part (for most of my life).
Yea the market crash has really been tough on a lot of people. My sister in law bought a condo in N. VA for 180k a few years back. Before the crash it was appraised for 210k (insane for a condo) and now they have two kids and she can't get out of that place since its worth less now. Its crazy. Great for me (wife and I are in the market for a home) but for everyone that bought recently not so much. On the plus side I read somewhere that this will bottom out come this May. So maybe the home owners will see a bump this time next year.
@nails: on the same note, you mentioned the other day your neighbor has 3 acres. I could probably throw a rock from my back door and it would land 2 blocks away...I could probably reach out my side window and come close to touching my neighbor's house. I would say houses that people built in NY back in the 60/70s or later and paid 75-80k for are probably now 600k+ - insane. I had my house build brand new here in Vegas in 2005 for 300k...it just appraised for 235k...it's 3 years old and it appraised 65k less...can only sell for a loss...it sucks!
@ dome: The cost of living in the areas you mentioned is definitely higher. You mentioned the property taxes in NY and Vegas, what you would pay 10K for in NY and 2K for in Vegas, you would pay 600 dollars for here. It's truly amazing.
Another example is the people from up north retiring to my town, or close too it, because of the golf courses, lakeside homes, etc.. When they go to buy homes, people here can take something that they paid 80K for and sell it to them for 400K and they think they are getting a good deal. It's kinda sleazy to do that, imo, but it happens a lot.
@nails - the crappy part is that jobs in Vegas pay like crap, but the cost of living is insanely high. I don't know, I made 80k in NY and couldn't pay my bills and I make like 50k in Vegas and I can't pay them either, so go figure. The biggest difference between the two is that NY had state income tax coming out of your paycheck each week and property taxes were outlandish (10k a year as compared to Vegas's 2k a year).
I lack energy to play anything...so very tired of playing crappy games.

Sorry for not being around so much lately. I've had a lot going on the past few weeks, and now today and yesterday we've had a couple of unexpected deaths amongst out family and friends. Life goes on though, so hopefully things will get back to normal in the next few days.

@ Bootleg: Glad to hear you got the cast off! Several years ago I broke my arm playing basketball. The day I got the cast off, I went out to play basketball in the rain and fell and broke it again, lol. Try not to do the same thing.

@ Sparky: You mentioned that Coke wasn't the greatest job. Around here that would be considered one of the better jobs to have. It's funny how parts of the country are so economically different. For example, the average income in my town is 21K a year, and the biggest business in town hires in at 8 dollars an hour!
Yea, wasn't meaning that my xbox takes priority over anything else. Its my time. I have school, a full time job, a second part time job on my days off my first job and a wife (expecting our first in January)
So its a good escape for me to get to play games. Not a priority.
Well I look at it this way, I have work, personal life aka fiance, and gaming time. And I have to have priorities so sometimes I have time for the xbox and sometimes I don't.
Man it looks like another late night of gaming for me again. I hate having to work really gets in the way of these challenges.
Even though I'm not feeling that well, I guess I'll make an attempt to do something in this challenge since scores are fairly low...
well i got the cast off today =D but i think i will be spending this weekend, since i finally have that horid thing off, with my guitars, and my girlfriend. dont expect any points from me this challenge, but one day i will win one. one day..... lol
i hope to be back in 2 -3 weeks in these challenges, school isnt going to be to bad and once i get my hands on some games i want il be back going some
Well thanks guys. I got a job with Coca-Cola. Its not the greatest job but it will pay my bills. Its taken me three years to get back into a job that will do that. The unlimited overtime is a nice little feature that I will be taking advantage of. Vegas is a terrible place to look for jobs in. Most employers want you to have a degree, and just like dome said, even with a degree they still aren't going to pay you accordingly.
@Chand - I hear that. I have my Masters, but it's basically useless in NV, because no one wants it, so I certainly don't get paid great at all. I could do the same thing in NV with a high school diploma that I could with any college degree, sad. As far as everyday being different, my job has that for sure and it's never boring, but it is aggravating.
My job doesn't pay great for having a Master's but its definitely entertaining. Everyday has its differences and there isn't really much boredom involve.
@ Sparky: Like dome said, congrats on the new job! I hope it's a better fit for you than the last one. It also seems like you've got a good lady there supporting you too. That's a hard thing to find anymore. By the way, what kind of work is it?
Congrats on the new job Sparky...I go back to work in 3 weeks myself after being out for a year. Not looking forward to going back to that place.

I'm proud of you for this new job, and if you hadn't played every game that seems interesting to me, I would play for you (It wouldn't be right for boomy to win with a GS of 210- I would be mad at myself :D). You have time on sunday to play, I won't ask you for anything. Also, remember you still have all those MS points I got you, USE EM! I'm sure we can get more later if you keep the fantastic-ness up :D
@bootleg - I saw it....Monday's episode of BB After Dark on Showtime was one of the funniest I have ever seen.
Well I am glad I didn't miss much. Seems to be a fairly slow starting challenge. Besides Joshnorm throwing up 1000 points already. I might not even gain one achievement this week. My new job is going to be keeping me busy. Today was my first day training and I worked a 13 hour day. And now I get to do it again tomorrow and everyday after. 6 days a week. No more games for me. I went ahead and launched a little bit early, but I figured everyone who was going to join, already had anyway. Thanks for coming out for #15. We are only a few weeks away from the CoC, so I hope everyone is ready to compete! There may be a possibility of the CoC being changed from the last week of September to the first week of October. It would launch on October 1st. The reason for that being, it would make it my 20th challenge, and I just like the sound of that, lol. If you guys don't mind, I may do that. Let me know what you think.
I also wanted to let everyone know that one of the gamers this week (ohjay08) is new, and has a gs below the limit, as well as a short time on the site, but I chose to let him participate, he didn't sneak by me, lol. He's been one of my watchers for a little while now and I talked to a few of the regulars and they are ok with it and I hope you all are as well. There will be an exception made though, if he wins, the second place gamer will get an invite to the CoC as well. Someone suggested this and I thought it was a good idea. Some of you have been working very hard to get a CoC spot and I don't want to take that from you because I let someone with a low gs in. Now that I've drug his name out and embarrassed him, be sure to make him feel welcome, lol.
I'm sure this is going to be another great challenge, so have fun everyone and good luck!
Challenge Rules & Guidelines:
1) All competitors must log into Xbox Live the day prior to challenge launch. (I reserve the right to allow exceptions)
2) If you game offline, you must notify me of your daily GS increase. (All other competitors will be notified of your GS increase)
3) Trash talking is welcome, but play nice!
4) The following list of games are only allowed on a restricted basis. Each gamer is allowed to play 2 of the following games. One must be played on the first day of the challenge and the other can be played any of the first three days of the challenge.

7) All 360 Voice challenge rules are also in effect.
8) In case of a tie, the competitor with the largest daily GS increase during the challenge will be declared the winner.
9) All gamertags labeled as a cheater by Microsoft are forbidden.
10) All forms of cheating(profile glitching, gamesaving, etc...) are prohibited. (Instances of suspected cheating will be investigated prior to disqualification)
11) Any winner from outside of the continental U.S. may be partially responsible for shipping.
12) I reserve the right to make changes or additions to these rules and guidelines at any time.
