For all of you Call of duty world at war gamers i created a group just for you.
Pff httk. I could do nothing in the autos and earn that. Might take me FOREVER to do it, but it's possible.
Ok, not forever, 20 years. But still...
THats what the HTTK badge is about, not directly wins but points for wins.
So I was thinking, we need a challenge winner badge. Kinda like how there's one for 5/10/20 etc retail/arcade completions, how about something for 5/10/20 challenges won?
Only bringing this up cause I have 9 victories atm and thought it would be killer if there was a badge for 10 wins :P
It won't pick up on the change unless you send an email to support@360voice.com asking them to change it. Include your old tag, and your new one. In the future, place a post in the support forum and you'll get a quick response.
How do i change my gamertag on thsi website, i changed it on the 2nd December and this 360voice hasn't picked up on it...
I'd like to see some badges get moved, rather then removed. Like Dead Rising to the forthcoming Horror/Survival Genre instead of sandbox.
Dacoto, it's always been like that. Actually in the beginning I think nearly ever single launch title was good for a badge.
Eventually some old games were being removed from the genres, but I think they stopped removing and only add now because people got upset.
Badges 2.0 is only dead for the stand point of having Change, Fatty or Squid create it. I am hoping that I can get Change to agree to let me talk a look at, bounce a couple ideas off him and see if I can work out some version of an update. We'll see what he says.
So I was perusing my badge calculator and noticed that some of the launch king badges are now included in their respective genres. I guess double dipping is in now.
I just want double dipping in the next update. Why can't my games count towards genre badges as well as specialty badges??? IE all the games on the launch king list counting for the genres they belong to. What's so wrong with that?
Change replied to my forum post titled "Let's be honest" and said badges 2.0 is effectively dead and will not be happening.
That's enough for me! I'll be removing myself from this group to clean up the clutter. Good luck with the cause though.
@ AxGryndr: No prob dude. No hard feelings.
Flankage perhaps I was speaking out of turn and I never meant to imply that it was you specifically that forced him to leave. Its sad to find out that things took such a turn for the worst. Some people think that the only way to get something done is to make it personal and that is a shame on HeNani. To bad that a resonable conclusion could not be found.
Welp, perhaps the best thing is to simply exercise patience. The balls rolling now like it hasn't been in the last 6 months. Once we get 2 more genres with the next update, start looking forward to spring. Brainstorm ideas that *you'd* like to see and make a thread in the Badges forum presenting those ideas. If an idea has enough support (see: Hack'N'Slash; Horror) then it tends to get added.
Ok, so personal attacks aside, what can we do as a thriving community to further this cause?
@ dacoto: The admins know that the users are anxiously awaiting badges 2.0. Creating this group to show your support of wanting the overhaul is perfectly fine. Out of 200+ members though, only one was making things personal & getting ugly & slanderous of the admins (and slanderous of everyone who wasn't as zealous about badges 2.0 as he was). That's not cool. I had no idea he was going to be so offended that he would leave. There's a saying: Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. He shouldn't attack other users, applying derogatory labels, and then expect that people will not take offense to those labels.
So then, what would be the correct way to present the arguement? There are several threads with many different ideas. Is more help needed? More volunteers? I mean, obviously with 150k+ users, not everyone is going to be happy, but with the ammount of outcry, something would be better than nothing. It's not that hard to tweak as you go.
@ AxGryndr: Did you read what I posted here? HeNaniGenz deleted his own blog. No one kicked him out, no one "exiled" him. Dude, I really don't have THAT much influence here. You assume a lot. I'm not against people wanting an overhaul of the badges system. I'd like to see the overhaul too. Its all about how the argument is presented. Check your blog comments for today.
I have to admit with what he had to say that really it does not make any sense. There are more popular games and yet they have been omitted. From almost the start I thought, and still think, its a broken system but everyone just wants to say, "Oh deal with it." It's sad to think that when some did not want to deal but try to cause change they get exiled. Almost enough to make me want to leave if this is how we are treating our community and brethren.
