Mightymango's Xbox - May 17 2008

Mightymango seemed really excited to play yesterday. Our current gamerscore is 81,438 . That is a boost of 40 points over last time! He rallied Madden NFL 07 picking up 2 achievements, Carcassonne, and before I even realized it, he was finished and I was sad.

Hey, I almost forgot! The gamerscore challenge that Mightymango is competing in is on day 1 and we're doing our best to win this thing. If you are curious, follow along over here. 9 other people are throwing down in this challenge. If I do the math correctly, it means that 9 players X 3 days means a whole lot of trash talk! Out of everyone, Mightymango is holding on to the number 4 spot. However there are still 2 days left to score achievement glory. Let's get to the top of that challenge board! Mightymango's Xbox - May 16 2008

I told Mightymango 'Don't make me hurt you!' and the threat worked because he decided to show up yesterday. A gamer score of 81,398 is in our back pocket. He rallied Stranglehold, Madden NFL 07, and almost cried with joy. I have that effect on people.

I heard someone tell Mightymango to go play outside and he was like 'screw that!' so we did some gaming. Our gamerscore is currently 81,398 points. That is a profit of 260 points over last time! He played Test Drive Unlimited, DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme 2, LOTR, BFME II, Virtua Tennis 3, Discs Of Tron, Wits & Wagers acquiring 3 achievements, TRON, Assault Heroes 2, Civil War finishing an amazing 16 achievements, as well as checked out what was new in the live marketplace.

Like I always tell Mightymango, gaming is like money... the more the better! So fill up my pockets baby! All that matters is that our gamerscore is 81,113 points and on the rise. That is a profit of 50 points over last time! He rocked out to NFL Tour, Over-G finishing 1 achievement, WSOP: TOC, Viking, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, Turning Point adding 2 achievements, MOH Airborne winning 3 achievements, Blacksite, Overlord, TRON, Discs Of Tron, Alaskan Adventures, and then Mightymango went to get some food. Mightymango's Weekly Recap - 5/12/2008

It is hard to believe another week has passed. Here is the recap: Oh man are my cores just rocking... Mightymango played seven days last week! SEVEN! That is a NUMBER SEVEN followed by NO ZEROS! HOT! Our gamerscore saw a 444 point boost which is good. I guess that is what completing 22 achievements can do!

If I had a DOLLAR for every new game I played during the week, I would have 23 bucks! w00t! I can now add Kengo Legend of the 9, WRESTLE KINGDOM, ゾイドインフィニティEX NEO, プロ野球スピリッツ３, DIARIO, Blue Dragon, Spectral Force 3, TGM ACE, Universe at War, Battle for the Pacific, 2006 FIFA World Cup™, Call of Juarez, Conflict: Denied Ops, SEGA Superstars Tennis, Word Puzzle, Wik: Fable of Souls, Wits & Wagers, SWOS, Soltrio Solitaire, Prince of Persia, Rocketmen:Axis of Evil, Condemned 2: Bloodshot, and LOST PLANET to my collection... unless they were rentals or demos or betas. I couldn't tell. Also, I think we can all agree that Mightymango was a retro gaming junky last week playing a ton of TRON. He played it on 5 of the days.

What is wrong with Reviewers?

Mightymango has a lot to say. Here is some of that for ya:

Ok, I played what should be the rest of the arcade titles that I was missing last night. You know, half of them really aren't that bad and the ones that are worse then most still aren't horrible.

The one that bugs me though is Wits and Wagers. Its a goofy quiz game which you know, is not a terrible game. Gamespot gave it a 4.5........thats right, a 4.5. Why? Is it because its not a ZOMG FPS with over the top game play and graphics? Is it because its not a title that sells 500 Million dollars worth of Product?

No these are the reasons, There are only 700 different questions Easy to cheat when playing online You spend more time "dancing" than answering questions. Soooooooooo since when was 700 questions ONLY 700 questions. It looks like the title is all setup for downloadable content, meaning more questions. At least it has ONLINE play, unlock the other Trivia game Scene it. Justin Calvert even points out that the Camera support is poor at best. Justin, you dumbass, has their been a game with "AWESOME" camera support yet? Its always a feature that is there to make people that spent 50 bucks or more on the camera to feel like it has a purpose.

Sorry Gamespot, once again you guys don't get it. Once again people will miss out on a good social game because you guys/gals slam it.

Not every game is GTA IV or Halo 3. Quit using those games as the benchmark for every other title. Also quit comparing Hockey/Basketball Games to each other, how about compare it only to the prequels they came from. Don't compare Live 08 to NBA 2k8, they are to titles with different goals. No, compare 2k8 to 2k7 or even 2k6 which is better then 2k7.

Sorry, I've played and reviewed ALOT of bad titles. You want to play a REALLY bad game? Go pick up Titus's Release of Superman on the N64 and then talk to me Justin Calvert.

When you get right down to it, when Mightymango decides to play - it's a good day all around. Our score is 80,983 and always improving! That is a boost of 90 points over last time! He made some progress on Word Puzzle, Wik: Fable of Souls finishing 1 achievement, Wits & Wagers acquiring 3 achievements, TRON, Puzzle Fighter HD, SWOS, Soltrio Solitaire, Prince of Persia winning 1 achievement, Rocketmen:Axis of Evil, Mr. DRILLER Online, Madden NFL 07 picking up 2 achievements, and then the lightweight went to bed. Freakin' wuss. For those of you counting, Mightymango and I have played 110 days in a row... that has to be some kind of record.

Mightymango showed up yesterday and we were like a superhero team together. I make a great sidekick! Gamerscore stands at 80,863. Up up and away right? That is a boost of 244 points over last time! He made some progress on Battlefield 2: MC, Universe at War, Madden NFL 07, Battle for the Pacific picking up an amazing 9 achievements, TRON, Discs Of Tron, EXIT, Hexic HD, and then Mightymango developed a funny twitch and went to try and sleep it off or something. Crazy humans...

I love to game, you love to game, Mightymango loves to game, we all love to game! 80,619 points FTW!!! He opened up Kengo Legend of the 9, WRESTLE KINGDOM, ゾイドインフィニティEX NEO, プロ野球スピリッツ３, DIARIO, Blue Dragon, Spectral Force 3, TGM ACE, G.R.A.W., and... hmmm... maybe that was all... it felt like we played more games.

In the 'proof that Mightymango is a nice guy' category, his gamer reputation went up a tad bit yesterday. Good for him. Maybe more people will play with us.

Oh hey, time for the gamerscore challenge update too... Mightymango still has that going on and stuff. Don't take my word for it! See for yourself! 4 other people are throwing down in this challenge.
